10/10. Our server Seth suggested the perfect amount of food for our group of 4. Got the Tomahawk, garlic mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese & broccolini. All of the food speaks for itself! Most memorable food I've had for a birthday. Will be coming back! Thank you Seth!
Arroyo Chop House I went to Arroyo Chop house for the fourth of July with my dad and my brother for dinner. I started with a martini - Chopin vodka, extra dry, vigorously shaken, with 4 olives - this is my favorite way to make a martini - and vodka soaked olives are my favorite fruit! Then, my dad and I split the beet salad - beet salads can be done so many ways - and I like most ways. This one was made with Beets, Micro Greens, Bleu Cheese Mousse, Orange Segments, Avocado, Balsamic Reduction - rather nice, but not awesome - (I like beet salads with goat cheese and arugula). My brother had the C. H. Prime Chili - I had a taste and it was really great - nice heat, but not overly so. My brother said it was one of the best chilis he's ever had. Next, I had the Marinated Mary's Chicken Breast, prepared 'airline style' skin--on, chicken breast that has the drumette attached - delightfully cooked and garnished with sweet yellow and red peppers, juicy and tender. Veggies for the table: french fries, Sautéed Braised Spinach, Fresh Caramelized Sweet Corn. The fries were good, thin, crisp; the spinach I didn't care for, the corn was ok, but not amazing. my brother had the New York Steak and my Dad the Filet. Both were well cooked and tasty. we had Apple pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert which was nice, and I had the La Poire cocktail - Grey Goose Pear, Elderflower Syrup, Citrus, Pear Puree, Star Anise, Served Over Pebbles - very, very nice - not too sweet, well balanced flavors! Service was exceptional by Kristina!
A nice steak house in Pasadena. Ordered a porterhouse for two and ended with a chocolate soufflé! So delicious!
Came back twice in a week to celebrate my birthday and the bfs birthday. The food was amazing as usual. The first time I ordered the petite filet and the second time I ordered the burger. My family ordered surf and turf and the porterhouse. The bf ordered what is shown. All great choices. Saturday night before Father's Day was packed. Luckily, we still got a reservation on Open Table the day before.
I came here recently to celebrate my birthday and what a treat it was! Our party was big so I called in and was able to book a weekend dinner reservation for our party a week in advance. If your party is smaller, you can go to their website to book the reservation. If you don't mind walking a block or two, I would recommend getting to Arroyo Chop House 10 minutes early to find street parking. Although there is not much parking available on Arroyo Parkway, you may be able to find parking on the side street or around on Marengo Ave. Otherwise, their parking lot is valet only. Once we were seated, we were greeted by the waiter with specials for the day. It did seem pretty busy inside the restaurant at 6pm, so we had to wait awhile until we got our food. One thing I didn't like was that it felt pretty stuffy inside the restaurant. I'm not sure if it's because we were seated on the side of the restaurant where the sun was setting and the wooden shades were absorbing a lot of the heat from the day's sun. Every dish we ordered was sooo delicious. The flavor of the Porterhouse steak was perfect. Although next time I would definitely order the steak medium rare instead of medium. There were parts of the steak where I thought it came out more medium well. The bottle of Napa Valley Merlot and the sides all complemented the steak very well. We had the asparagus, brussels sprouts, lobster mash, and mac n cheese. What really topped off this meal was the spectacular desserts. You must order the chocolate souffle and the butterscotch pudding!
What a treat! We went for dinner to celebrate our son's graduation. Service is outstanding! Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and the specials and explained everything on the menu. Hubby and son shared the rib eye and it was more than enough for two people. I ordered Mary's Marinated chicken breast and loved it!! Very juicy and flavorful!! Very large portion too! Two large chicken breast! We ordered the broccolini, Mac and cheese and mushrooms as side dishes and they were all delicious!! The bread was so soft and fresh out of the oven!! A little pricey but worth it!
When driving into this establishment, please be aware there is two restaurant on one lot. Valet only when you enter and they can take you on the parkway grill side and you can walk over to Arroyo chop house. Started off with a Caesar salad and you have the option to have a sardine on top of your salad. Sure why not, decoration. We also got the scallop wrapped in pancetta, so good, big and meaty scallops. Tomahawk med rare-good piece of meat and more than enough for two people. We were able to take some home for the next day. Truffle mac and cheese- you can really taste and see the truffle in the mac and cheese. Scallop potatoes were a little uncooked and wasn't soft in certain areas but the sauce it was in was really good. Not too heavy or salty. Those beer battered onion rings, OMG so good even the next day in the air fryer! I love leftovers when its good the next day. Service was really good and they didn't skip a beat. Overall it was a nice time. Valet is 7.00
